Jean Cooper, CFP®Jean Cooper has recently retired from Deloitte after 25 years of service as a partner. She signed articles with Deloitte in 1983 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. She is now looking for a new challenge and would like to assist the FPI in further advance the financial planning industry. Ethics and integrity are a way of life and she believes that creating a better understanding of financial planning and providing broader access to planning is very important. Although trained as an Accountant she has spent most of her career consulting with senior client Executives and Partners at Deloitte in the areas of individual tax, retirement, and estate planning. She has Postgraduate Diplomas in Tax and International Tax and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. She has held various leadership positions during her career at Deloitte building successful teams and developing people. During the last 14 years, she had a financial and human resource role responsible for Partner admissions, withdrawals and retirements, the distribution of partner profits, partnership taxation and the taxation of individual partners. Making sure all Partners were compliant with the partnership agreements and that good governance was maintained was also part of her responsibilities. She also spent 14 years as a Trustee of the Deloitte Retirement Funds. |

Vuledzani Gloria Dangale, CFP®Vuledzani has 20 years’ experience working in the Financial Services Industry, specifically in sales and distribution. She joined Liberty Group Limited in 2011. Throughout her career, she occupied various roles as a Financial Adviser, sales Manager, Compliance Manager and currently as Head of Regulatory Implementation at Liberty. She holds a B.Com (Finance) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Postgraduate Diplomas and Advanced Postgraduate Diplomas in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State and an MBA from Regent Business School. One of the causes close to her heart is the upliftment of female leadership in the industry by mentoring female leaders. |

Sherwin Govender, CFP®Sherwin’s goal is to have a positive and lasting impact on the financial services industry. He seeks to achieve this by using his experience and knowledge to educate people and businesses on financial matters. His career in financial services spans more than 15 years, having fulfilled roles at Old Mutual Wealth, Nedbank Financial Planning and Alexander Forbes. He is currently a senior Business Development Manager at Glacier by Sanlam. He sits on various Investment Committees, has authored numerous financial planning-related articles and has research published in the South African Journal of Business Management. Sherwin holds a; Bachelor of Business Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of Free State, Senior Management Development Programme from the University of Stellenbosch, Masters in Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch. |

Dr. Mpho Maluleka, CFP®Mpho has 28 years’ experience in the South African private sector, with solid expertise in the Employment, Financial / Banking, and Insurance industries, specifically in financial services ranging from employee benefits, distribution, and financial planning. Mpho holds an MBA from Milpark and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of Free State. Mpho is an experienced Key Individual with management oversight and product experience. During his career, he has implemented turnaround strategies that transformed organisations to capture, create and protect value. He served on the Barclays Africa Group Steering Committee for Rest of Africa Business. He is recognised as a highly adaptable market access and development professional with a proven track record. His interpersonal and intercultural competence ensures he delivers appropriate guidance in the workplace that drives organisational goals and efficiencies. He approaches tasks with energy and action, taking charge to ensure constructive project management. Mpho functions well as an individual and in team environments, as he builds solid relationships at all company and stakeholder levels. He is comfortable with change and resilient under pressure and is solution- and deadline-driven. Mpho has successfully managed complex, multi-disciplinary projects and tasks in multicultural environments. His recognised personality strengths include strength, authenticity, empathy, emotional intelligence, a drive for excellence, and being principled and honourable. Olwethu Masanabo, CFP®A Professional with over 14 years of experience, Olwethu is a registered CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional with the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI), and a certified Integral Coach with the Centre for Coaching affiliated with New Ventures West (accredited by the ICF). She is also a Non-Executive Director of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI) and BDO Wealth Advisers. Olwethu was in a Senior Manager role that reports to the Head of Sales and Distribution for Investec for Intermediaries (IFI), she has recently embarked on an entrepreneurial journey. In realising that she wanted to be a flexible and adaptive strategic leader, Olwethu registered for MBA with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) with the intention to learn more about leadership and strategy and broaden her connections with leaders from different backgrounds. She completed her MBA in December 2020. Olwethu has worked in financial services in various roles. She has passed the industry regulatory examinations (RE5 and RE1). Olwethu is a continuous learner and believes that there is always something new that she can learn to enable her to add more value to an organisation. Over her career, Olwethu has acquired the following significant professional strengths: Strategy, Leadership, Problem Solving, Stakeholder Engagement, Planning, Persuasion & Influence, Agility, and Communication. |
